Accelerated FAST TRACK Instrument Rating in Approximately 11 weeks

Oregon Aero Academy's Accelerated Fast Track Instrument Rating Flight Training Program consist of Intensive Ground School Flight Training allowing any Private Pilot to obtain a Instrument Rating in as little as 7 weeks. To meet the intended timeline goal, Oregon Aero Academy strives to meet FAA's Part 141 reduced minimums as much as possible without 50 Hours of Cross Country requirement.

Training Summary

  • 30 Hours of Intensive 1-On-1 Instructor led Ground School
  • 6 Additional Hours for Stage Check and Mock Checkride
  • 35 Hours of Intensive Flight Training consisting of:
    • 14 Hours of AATD Time with a CFII
    • 26 Hours of Dual Instruction with a CFII
  • 10 Hours of Pre / Post Flight Instruction

Pre-Requisites for Enrollment

To Enroll into Accelerated Fast Track Instrument Rating Flight Training Program, the following must be met:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Enrollment Paperwork filled and completed
  • For US Citizens:
    • Current / Valid US Passport or Official Birth Certificate
  • For Aliens, Approval from FTSP for Flight Training
  • Current / Valid Driver's License
  • At least a 3rd Class Medical Certificate
  • Renter's Insurance Coverage

Student Responsiblities

With goal of obtaining an Instrument Rating in approximately 11 weeks, Oregon Aero Academy expects the following from all students enrolled in the Accelerated Fast Track Instrument Rating Flight Training Program:

  • Attend all Ground School and pass Knowledge Exam within 1 week of completion
  • Attend and be present in school at least 4 days per week, 8 hours per day
  • Fly at least 2-3 Lessons per day (2-5 hours per lesson) each day

Payment Terms

To start, students are required to to pay for materials/supplies and Gleim Instrument Rating Ground School Kit and Class totaling $2,000.00.
